BISHOP’S COMMITTEE MEETING Sunday, August 19 from 11:45-12:45.

HELPING IAIA STUDENTS The Institute of American Indian Arts’ student pantry is in need of gently used household and clothing items, as well as toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, deodorant, hairbrushes, toilet paper, women’s sanitary items, toilet paper, towels, various non-perishable food items, laundry detergent (pods), clothing and shoes. We will collect items at church through Sunday, August 26.

OUTREACH MEETING Sunday, August 26 from 11:45-12:30.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29 BOOK STUDY, 6:30-8 p.m. at church. “THE BOOK OF JOY: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World” by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu with Douglas Abrams. Bring a journal and feel free to bring your dinner or snack.

JUNTOS DINNER Wednesday, September 26, we will be preparing and serving dinner to immigrant families at Sweeney Elementary as part of the Juntos Project. We usually arrive between 5 to 5:30 p.m. and we are finished by 7 p.m. Look for further details in upcoming weeks.

BISHOP VONO’S RETIREMENT CELEBRATION for our deanery will be Saturday, September 22, 4 p.m. at Holy Faith Episcopal Church, Santa Fe. Evensong will precede the celebration. Each deanery will present a special retirement gift. If you would like to contribute to this gift, see the diocesan website
