This Week at Holy Family

TOMORROW: SCRIPTURE@TRIBES September 6, our weekly Thursday night bible study continues. We gather around 5:30, officially start at 6, and end by 7 p.m. Tribes Coffee House is located at 3470 Zafarano Dr. Bring your bible!

POTLUCK SUNDAY September 9, we will share a community meal with our church family after worship. You are welcome to bring a dish to share or just come to celebrate our common life together.

PRAYER SQUARES meets the second Wednesday from 6:30/7 to 8:30 p.m. at church to knit and crochet squares, which are sewn into blankets/shawls. No experience necessary. Yarn, hooks and needles are supplied. Join us September 12 for fun, fellowship & treats.

INTERESTED IN JOINING THE ALTAR GUILD? Want to help prepare the Lord’s table? There will be an Altar Guild meeting/training Sunday, September 23, following worship. We will talk about the holy hardware, the linens and the future schedule. Why not join this vital ministry of the church?

JUNTOS DINNER Wednesday, September 26, we will prepare and serve dinner at Sweeney Elementary School as part of Juntos, a weekly project conducted for homeless families. Our menu will be pulled pork and chicken with sauces and rolls, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, fruit crisps/cobblers with ice cream. A sign-up sheet for food and helpers is in the narthex. HOLY FAMILY’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary, October 13-14! Saturday, October 13 from 10 a.m. to noon, there will be a Grace Workshop, with reflections based on the book, “The Ragamuffin Gospel” by Brennan Manning. Sunday, October 14, we will have worship, our monthly community potluck, followed by a hymn sing. Canon Raymond Raney will worship with us!
