This Week at Holy Family

THURSDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY Make worship more meaningful by reading, reflecting and inwardly digesting the readings before Sunday! We gather at 5:30 and end by 7 p.m. at Santa Fe Place mall.

SUNDAY, MARCH 3 THE LAST SUNDAY AFTER THE EPIPHANY Unction or healing will be offered after worship. If you are in need of spiritual, mental or physical healing, please remain in the sanctuary and leave enough space between you and the person in front of you.

ASH WEDNESDAY We are about to begin the holiest season of the church year, Lent. Lent starts with Ash Wednesday, March 6. Our service will be at 6:30 p.m., when we receive the Imposition of Ashes and are invited to the observance of Lent through self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, self-denial and study. There are two opportunities for study this year: Thursday night bible study at the mall and EC101 classes, held on alternating Sundays and Saturdays.  See the website for details.

EC101 Want to learn more about the Episcopal Church? Episcopal Church 101 begins this Sunday, March 3, noon to 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

AUDIT COMMITTEE Three people are needed to form the audit committee to review Holy Family's finances for 2018. The time commitment is a few hours on a Friday or Saturday to walk through the audit process provided by the Diocese, followed by preparing a brief report on any areas where we could improve our business processes. This is both a diocesan requirement and a good review of how things are going on the financial side. Extensive financial experience is not required. Contact Morag Smith if you are willing.

POLICY COMMITTEE People are needed to form a policy committee to address a number of topics such as creating guidelines for bequests or use of the special funds. If you're interested, contact Kay Storr.

STRATEGIC PLAN PRAYER During this time of planning for the future, please pray for our faith community. “We pray for the growth of this baptismal community. Lord, build up our church in spirit, mind and body.  Amen.”
