This Week at Holy Family

WEEKLY EVENING PRAYER & BIBLE STUDY Starting tonight, we will offer Thursday Evening Prayer at 5:30 p.m. and bible study from 6 to 7 p.m. at church. We will study the readings for the upcoming Sunday.

BISHOP’S COMMITTEE MEETING September 15 at 11:45 a.m.

TOSS NO MAS FALL CLEANUP Like the Great American Cleanup in April, volunteers help clean up our city streets, parks, arroyos and school campuses. Cleanup is from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 21.  Tell Dan or Camille Donoghue if you plan to help and they will register you at 7 a.m. that morning. Another opportunity to be of service on the south side!

ALTAR GUILD MEETING Sunday, September 22 after worship, we will meet with our new deacon and field work student to review the setting of the altar and bless our new altar linens!

PRAYER SQUARES meets for knitting, crocheting, support and fellowship the second and fourth Wednesdays, 6-8 p.m. at church. Next gathering: Sept. 25.

ST. FRANCIS BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS On October 6, we will have our annual Blessing of the Animals service at 10:30 a.m.  This year we are gathering donations for Kindred Spirits Animal Sanctuary, which provides end-of-life care and hospice for dogs, horses and poultry. See their wish list on the front table. All loose, undesignated moneys in the offertory that Sunday will go to Kindred Spirits.  Thank you for your generosity.

PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH Please pray for our church community: “We pray for the growth of this baptismal community. Lord, build up our church in spirit, mind and body.  Amen.”
