This Week at Holy Family

POSTULANT PENNI’S FIRST SUNDAY is September 8. Penni will serve as field work student for the next two academic years, September through May. She is a Postulant for Holy Orders to the Priesthood and in her second year of study in the diocesan Iona Program. Please welcome Penni!

POTLUCK SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 The second Sunday of each month, we share a potluck meal as a church family.  Bring a dish to share or just join us after worship.  There is always plenty of food to go around. A cake for Postulant Penni’s first Sunday will be provided.

PRAYER SQUARES meets for knitting, crocheting, support and fellowship the second and fourth Wednesdays, 6-8 p.m. at church. Next gatherings: Sept. 11,  25.

WEEKLY EVENING PRAYER & BIBLE STUDY Starting September 12, we will offer Thursday Evening Prayer at 5:30 p.m. and bible study from 6 to 7 p.m. at church. We will study the readings for the upcoming Sunday.

TOSS NO MAS FALL CLEANUP Like the Great American Cleanup in April, volunteers help clean up our city streets, parks, arroyos and school campuses. Cleanup is from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 21.  Tell Dan or Camille Donoghue if you plan to help and they will register you at 7 a.m. that morning. Another opportunity to be of service on the south side!

ALTAR GUILD MEETING Sunday, September 22 after worship, we will meet with our new deacon and field work student to review the setting of the altar and bless our new altar linens!
